Parts of the Display

The display on your Mac is made up of different parts. Depending on how your screen is damaged, only certain parts may be needed for repair.

LED Screen

This is the actual screen panel of the display. If the display image is bleeding or distorted, the screen will likely need to be replaced.

Glass

Some model of MacBook Pro have a glass cover over the screen. If the front bezel of your screen is black, then you have a glass cover.

Display House

This is the rear housing of the display that has the Apple logo. If the display is dented heavily or bent too far, this piece may need to be replaced.

Display Bezel

For models without a glass cover, there is a silver display bezel that surronds the front of the screen.

Upper Section

This is the entire upper section that includes all of the above parts as well as wireless antennae cables and the iSight camera.
